IN MEMORY OF ANGHARAD MAIR WILLIAMS |
|
AngharadAt the end of November 2011, Angharad sadly died aged 14 years old. It was a very sad time for staff and pupils alike as we remembered a likeable and lively ex-pupil despite her long battle with her medical condition and the daily struggles she was faced with. Angharad battled courageously against her condition EB from birth, having to travel to Great Ormond Street Hospital fortnightly to receive treatment during the last year of her life. The rideIn order to thank the hospital and to celebrate Angharad's love of life we as staff and friends of Ysgol Gymraeg have decided to cycle from Ysgol Gymraeg to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London during this year's summer holidays. A journey of 220 miles. Our aim is to present a cheque to the hospital of the monies raised through acitivities held at the school which will be organised by the pupils during the summer term, along with sponsorship money for the bike ride itself. SponsorshipIf you would like to sponsor this worthy cause you may either go to Mr Williams the Headteacher or Ffion the Secretary's office to fill in a sponsor form, or click here to contribute through the JustGiving page. If you're a business and would like to sponsor by including your logo on our cycling jerseys then please contact Mr Gareth James the Deputy by e-mailing gareth.james@ysgolgymraeg.ceredigion.sch.uk |
